ELIGIBILITY

SSC Junior Engineer Eligibility -

The Educational Qualification and Age Limit are given below.

The educational qualifications required for the SSC Junior Engineer (JE) positions vary depending on the specific department and post. Below is a detailed breakdown:

  1. Border Roads Organization (BRO), Ministry of Defence:
    • JE (Civil): Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University/Institute; or Three years Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized University/Institute/Board; and Two years of experience in Planning/Execution/Maintenance of Civil Engineering works.
    • JE (Electrical & Mechanical): Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University/Institute; or Three years Diploma in Electrical/Automobile/Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University/Institute/Board; and Two years of experience in Planning/Execution/Maintenance of Electrical or Mechanical Engineering works.
  2. Central Public Works Department (CPWD):
    • JE (Civil): Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized University or Institute.
    • JE (Electrical): Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University or Institute.
  3. Central Water and Power Research Station:
    • JE (Civil): Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized Institute.
    • JE (Electrical): Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized Institute.
    • JE (Mechanical): Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized Institute.
  4. Central Water Commission:
    • JE (Civil): Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized University or Institution.
    • JE (Mechanical): Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University or Institution.
  5. Directorate of Quality Assurance (Naval):
    • JE (Mechanical): Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized Institute; or Three years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University or Institution; and Two years of experience in the respective field.
    • JE (Electrical): Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University; or Three years Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University or Institution; and Two years of experience in the respective field.
  6. Farakka Barrage Project:
    • JE (Civil): Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized University or Institute or Board.
    • JE (Electrical): Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University or Institute or Board.
    • JE (Mechanical): Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University or Institute or Board.
  7. Military Engineer Services (MES):
    • JE (Civil): Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University; or Three years Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized Institute or University or Board; and Two years of experience in Planning, Execution, and Maintenance of Civil Engineering works.
    • JE (Electrical & Mechanical): Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University; or Three years Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized Institute or University or Board; and Two years of experience in Planning, Execution, and Maintenance of Electrical or Mechanical Engineering works.
  8. National Technical Research Organization (NTRO):
    • JE (Civil): Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized University/Institution.
    • JE (Electrical): Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University/Institution.
    • JE (Mechanical): Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University/Institution.
